Hi, I’m Julie Stacey and I’ve been a practising therapist in the Reading and Berkshire area for over 30 years. I’m a member for the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society of Great Britain and offer my services to anyone who wishes to start on their journey to a better self.
My career has included working in the private and charitable sectors. My time spent helping people has brought me into contact with a wide range of clients from all backgrounds. I’ve worked with well-functioning individuals who have become overwhelmed by life events and other individuals with severe and enduring difficulties struggling to manage the inevitable challenges that life brings.
As part of my career, I’ve spent 15 years specialising in Safe Abortion Services. Some of the hardest moments in a person’s life are post-abortion, opening up to help can improve mental health and promote recovery sooner.
Caring for an individual or a loved one can be incredibly difficult. It places a strain on people that can be difficult to carry and give a sense of guilt for having. I have found that these feelings are not uncommon and a healthy discussion over the difficulties of providing care can help. As a result of this, I now offer a Care For Carers service to recognise the hardship that can be placed on people trying to help others.
I now practise as a private therapist in Reading, Berkshire. I offer a range of services, however, if the therapy that you would like isn’t shown on this site please contact me and we can discuss how to move forwards. It’s my strong belief that helping others is one of the greatest things that a person can do.
Sessions can be either in person or online, this is a choice for the client. My offices are based in Reading with parking available. So please use the buttons on this page to contact me or book a session as required. I look forward to working with you.
